Madonna is not cooperating.
Madonna's brother, Christopher Ciccone, is writing a memoir about his sister, "Life With My Sister Madonna" to be released in mid-July. "Ciccone's extraordinary memoir is based on his life and 47 years of growing up with and working with his sister — the most famous woman in the world," the publisher said Wednesday in a statement. Ciccone, 47, has worked often with his older sister, designing and directing her "Girlie Show" tour in 1993 and serving as artistic director of her 1991 documentary, "Madonna: Truth or Dare."
According to Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, they are no longer close. "Madonna has not cooperated with any biography about herself."

Perhaps as a precursor to that, Christopher Ciccone, Madonna's brother, is showing "The Booty Collection,'' his photographs of nude male bottoms, at the Phantom*SF Gallery on Sutter Street. The opening of this exhibition was during Pride weekend, and the occasion for a particularly excellent party, says Tim Gaskin. I really want to work with artists George Michaels and of course Madonna. Our paths have crossed. Recently we prayed next to each other at the Kabbalah Centre in Los Angeles. It was surreal because as an Orthodox Jewish kid, I would pray that Madonna would take me away from the Bronx where I grew up, and here I was praying right beside her. - Ari Gold to OUT Spoken host Tim Gaskin. Drag royalty came out Sunday to give honor to Heklina at Martunis in "Bijou: A Tribute to Heklina"
Miss Gay BeBe Sweetbriar, Tom Orr, Birdie Bob Watt, Cookie Dough, Trixxie Carr, Holotta Tymes, Ethel Merman, Trauma Flintstone and faux-queen Fauxnique did two turns at the mic in the 2-hour long homage.
Over the top was Sweetbriar’s rendition of “And I am telling you I'm not going” from the Dreamgirls soundtrack. From the stage Sweetbriar called Heklina a trailblazer.

Word is that Margaret Cho, Cyndi Lauper and the women of Good Vibrations have hired a limo and are planning a tranny-pub-crawl over Pride Weekend. Cho returns to TV this fall, in a new VH1 series called "The Cho Show" starting 08/21. Lauper is a Celebrity Grand Marshall at this years Pride as is Theresa Sparks, the President of the San Francisco Police Commision.

A thank-you for 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling
Hillary Rodham Clinton ended her historic campaign for the presidency on Saturday saying, "Although we weren't able to shatter that highest, hardest glass ceiling this time, thanks to you, it has about 18 million cracks in it and the light is shining through like never before."
"Today as I suspend my campaign, I congratulate him on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him and throw my full support behind him and I ask of you to join me in working as hard for Barack Obama as you have for me," said the New York senator in her 28-minute address.
