Late Night at de Young
A Surreal and Hilarious lineup by Velocity Circus

Cultural Encounters at the de Young is a series of interconnected programs developed in collaboration with community arts organizations and performing and visual artists. These programs are designed to attract new and diverse audiences to the museum while creating exciting educational and artistic possibilities from the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.

On Friday Nights, the entire de Young Museum stays open until 8:45 p.m. offering a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, tours, and lectures. The cafe and a no-host cocktail bar are open for dinner and drinks.

Gregangelo Presents an "Only in San Francisco" extraordinarily surreal evening of over the top theatrical costumes, artists and antics! Noted below is a sample line up of artists for the evening:

Steven Raspa, V-Troupe, Fou Fou Ha, Pi Physical Theatre, Herbie Hatman's Sideshow, Super Gigi, Miss Jenny Daly Show Girl, Extraordinaire, Peggy L' Eggs, The Headisms of Catherine Grillos, and emcee Kitten on the Keys, otherwise known as San Francisco based Velocity Circus musical variety artist Suzanne Ramsey.

Ramsey’s self penned cabaret songs and Tin Pan Alley treasures revive the mirth and merriment of days gone by. Her popularity continues across the pond-in the past six months shes performed all over the UK, Ireland, and Wales solo and opening for legendary punk rock band the DAMNED as the MC and musical act for their Twisted Cabaret. She'll join forces with like-minded artists this summer in Scotland for the famous Fringe Festival in Edinburgh shopping her one-woman musical.

Kitten's summer is busy-she will also be a guest of Festival ad Werth in Ultrecht where young artists develop their work and will be involved in an amazing theatrical spectacle with Cabaret New Burlesque in Napoli, Teatro Fesival Italia! She is always pleased to be a part of the beauty of Velocity Circus!

Additionally, there are hands-on art-making activities available for children and adults. Admission is always free to members, and regular admission fees apply to non-members. The museum is located at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive in the heart of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. gregangelo.com
