Esera Tuaolo, is a former professional American football defensive lineman in the National football league for nine years, including participation in The Super Bowl. In 2002, having retired from sports, he came out on HBO's "real sports". Tuaolo's Autobiography, "alone in the trenches: my life as a gay man in the NFL ", was released in spring, 2006. He has since worked with the NFL to attempt to combat homophobia in the league and is a board Member of the gay and lesbian athletics foundation.

Patience!  Things need to happen faster for equal rights for the glbt community.  Society needs to realize that we are here!

What is your greatest regret?
Staying in the closet for as long as i did!  Surrendering to societies demands and way of life!

What is the greatest love of your life?
My children and mother (mainaiavasa tavai tuaolo)

When and where were you happiest?
When Mitchell and i got the phone call from my mother that the twins were born and that they were born on Mitchell’s (aka little daddy) birthday.

Which talent would you most like to have?
I have them all, haha! Just kidding!

What is your current state of mind?
I'm happy and i tingle between my legs...lol  You said current!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Would like to fit in a size 30 armani jeans. (my grade school size.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Coming out of the closet! Being true to myself

If you could choose what to come back as, what would it be?
Porno star! Haha! Just kidding! The president of the united states of america and be a president for all people, how it should be! Not how it is now!

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Loosing my mother.

A father, singer!  Love to sing!

The Bible, David Kopay, both books saved my life growing up

Discrimination towards another human being and a child of god

How would you like to die?
With my children, Mitchell and grand children around my bed so the last thing that my eyes see when i depart this world is the people that most loved me.

Great motivating story of success also working on my one man show with Bill Russell and Henry Krieger.
