Jack Mackenroth

Mackenroth, 38 and originally from Seattle, Washington, is a swimmer, model and fashion designer. Beyond his professional achievements, Jack has also received national recognition as a competitive swimmer. He has also always been very open about his positive HIV status. Since his diagnosis in 1990, he has tried to combat the stigma of HIV by living honestly and being a role model through professional and athletic achievements.

My sense of humor and my big rack.
 
Where did your life begin?
Literally: Minneapolis, Minnesota. Figuratively: when I came out at age 18.
 
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
I would want my loved ones to be happy and worry free. Then I would like a never-ending vat of calorie free French fries.
 
What is your greatest fear?
Watching a loved one die.

What is your greatest extravagance?
I bought a $10,000 Rolex when I got my last job as a gift to myself. I also don't mind spending money on art.

The band from the 80's. I love Steve Perry. Don't stop believin'.
 
What do you dislike most about your appearance?
I used to think that I was too feminine looking and hated my upturned nose--but I'm too old to care now. I like the way I look and I can't change it anyway so why bother stressing. It's fleeting anyhow.

Being frugal. Cheap is a four-letter word. (also spelled chep)

What is your greatest regret?
Doing a lot of drugs in the 90's. I think it made me more stupider.

My family and my late dog Max.

I'm happiest when I am listening to music and making art or clothing.

I wish I could sing. And I would love to be a computer programmer in my next life.
