Manny Lehman is a native New Yorker where he frequented clubs such as the Paradise Garage, Studio 54, and the Starship. In the early to mid-'80s, Lehman DJed at New York hot spots such as the Palladium and Fun House. In 1989, Lehman moved to Los Angeles where he formed a business partnership with promoter Jeffrey Sanker. In the early '90s, Lehman discovered singer Ce Ce Peniston, signed her to A&M records and produced her club-hit track "Finally". He has also worked with Amy Grant, Sting, and Sounds of Blackness.
