In May of 1992, Korpi was selected, as one of the cast members on MTV's The Real World, becoming the first openly-gay character on American Television. The ground breaking TV show followed Norman and six other cast members with video cameras and aired their lives on MTV. The writer/director produced the acclaimed mocumentary movie “The Wedding Video” in 2003 and is presently working as an artist/painter at his studio in Hollywood.

When and where were you happiest? When I was bringing Tim Gaskin flowers from 500 miles away after a wonderful telephone call about how much he missed me, I decided to get in the car and drive to him, only to find out there would be no sex after the surpirse. Because he needed to make babies with his sperm revesere.
